Pedestrian Killed in Pacoima Hit-and-Run on Van Nuys Blvd

Pacoima, CA (Oct. 19, 2025) — A man in his 40s was struck and killed in a hit-and-run crash Sunday night, according to the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD).

The incident occurred a little before 10 p.m. near the intersection of Van Nuys Boulevard and Ralston Avenue. Investigators say a white 2008 Chevrolet Silverado traveling southbound on Van Nuys Boulevard struck the pedestrian as he crossed diagonally. The vehicle did not stop after the collision. The victim was declared dead at the scene.

The LAPD’s Valley Traffic Division is actively investigating the crash, reviewing surveillance footage, and appealing to the public for tips. A reward of up to $50,000 has been offered for information leading to the suspect’s arrest and conviction.
