Woman Killed in Sunland 210 Freeway Crash
SUNLAND, CA (Nov. 12, 2025) — A woman was killed Wednesday morning after the car she was driving rear-ended a big rig on the Foothill (210) Freeway in Sunland, according to the California Highway Patrol.
According to CHP, the collision occurred just before 5 a.m. in the westbound lanes of the 210 Freeway at Sunland Boulevard. A 2008 Toyota Prius traveling in the area collided with the rear of a big rig for reasons not stated in the report. The impact left the Prius stopped in the two right lanes of the freeway.
Emergency responders arrived and pronounced the driver of the Prius deceased at the scene. She was identified by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office as 71-year-old Loredana Re of Sunland. No other injuries were reported in the article.
The westbound Sunland Boulevard on-ramp was closed while authorities responded to the scene. Officials also issued a SigAlert, and lanes remained blocked for several hours as crews investigated and cleared the roadway.
