Bicycle rider killed in South Park hit and run
LOS ANGELES, CA (November 12, 2025) — A bicycle rider was killed Wednesday evening in a hit-and-run collision in the South Park neighborhood of South Los Angeles, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Officers responded at 7:25 p.m. to the 700 block of East Vernon Avenue between Avalon Boulevard and McKinley Avenue reporting a person down, said Officer Charles Miller. When they arrived, first responders found the bicyclist lying in the street and paramedics from the Los Angeles Fire Department pronounced the victim dead at the scene. The victim’s name, age and gender were not immediately released. Witnesses told police they saw a motorcycle rider leaving the scene, but could not provide a description of the motorcyclist or the motorcycle.

Investigators with the Los Angeles Police Department are handling the incident as a hit-and-run and are seeking information from witnesses.
