Woman Killed in Long Beach Crosswalk Crash
LONG BEACH, CA (December 28, 2025) — A woman was struck and killed by a vehicle in Long Beach on Saturday night, authorities said Sunday. The Long Beach Police Department confirmed that the motorist remained at the scene and cooperated with officers.
Officers were dispatched at about 8:45 p.m. Saturday to the area of West Pacific Coast Highway and Cedar Avenue regarding an injury traffic collision. According to police, a 2013 Ford Fusion was traveling eastbound in the No. 1 lane on West Pacific Coast Highway when it struck the woman, who was walking southbound in a marked crosswalk.
Paramedics responded and rushed the woman to a hospital, where she later died from her injuries. Officials did not release her name or other identifying information.
