Man Killed in LA Pedestrian Accident on Ninth Street

LOS ANGELES, CA (October 15, 2023) — A pedestrian accident claimed the life of 37-year-old Robert Francis at Ninth Street and Towne Avenue, as identified by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner.

The incident occurred when Francis was struck by a vehicle while crossing the intersection. Emergency responders arrived promptly at the scene, but despite their efforts, Francis succumbed to his injuries.

The community has expressed profound sorrow over the loss, with residents calling for enhanced safety measures at the intersection.

Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident to determine any contributing factors.
