Man in Wheelchair Killed in Downtown LA Crash

LOS ANGELES, CA (October 23, 2023) — A man in a wheelchair was tragically killed in a collision at the intersection of Hill Street and Fifth Street in downtown Los Angeles on Monday.

The incident occurred when a vehicle struck the man as he attempted to cross the street. Emergency responders arrived swiftly at the scene, but the man was pronounced dead due to the severity of his injuries.

Witnesses at the scene expressed shock and sadness over the incident, with some noting the dangerous nature of the busy intersection for pedestrians.

The Los Angeles Police Department is actively investigating the crash to determine the circumstances leading up to the collision, including whether any traffic violations occurred.
