Deputy Killed in LA County Motorcycle Crash

LOS ANGELES, CA (February 14, 2001) — Deputy Brandan Garrett Hinkle, an 11-year veteran of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, was killed in a tragic accident when his police motorcycle was struck head-on by another vehicle.

According to reports, Deputy Hinkle was on duty and riding his motorcycle when the collision occurred. Emergency responders arrived swiftly, but Deputy Hinkle succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and the community are mourning the loss of Deputy Hinkle, who was remembered for his dedication and service.
