Person killed in Boyle Heights crash on I-10

LOS ANGELES, CA (Nov. 16, 2025) — A man was killed early Sunday morning in a two-vehicle crash on the westbound Interstate 10 (San Bernardino Freeway) at the Cesar Chavez Avenue on-ramp in the Boyle Heights neighborhood, authorities confirmed.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred at about 4:30 a.m. and involved two dark-coloured sedans. Two lanes (the second and third lanes) of the westbound freeway were closed under a SigAlert issued around 6:40 a.m., and the closure was lifted at approximately 8:13 a.m. as the response concluded. No additional details about injuries beyond the fatality were available.

CHP officials say an investigation into the cause and circumstances of the crash is ongoing.
