Five Hospitalized After Arleta Ambulance Crash

ARLETA, CA (November 30, 2025) — Five people were hospitalized after a Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) ambulance collided with an SUV Sunday night in Arleta, according to officials.

The crash happened around 8 p.m. at the intersection of Woodman Avenue and Chase Street. According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the ambulance was transporting an 81-year-old woman and a 94-year-old man when it struck an SUV. Three additional people were also transported to the hospital. The SUV’s 34-year-old driver was listed in critical condition, while both the ambulance driver and its passenger were reported to be in fair condition.

Emergency crews secured the scene and provided aid to those injured. Air-views of the area showed significant front-end damage to the SUV, with investigators from the Los Angeles Police Department examining the crash site.

Officials said the cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department.
