Man Killed in Norwalk Freeway Transition Crash

NORWALK, CA (January 6, 2026) — A 53-year-old man was killed early Monday morning in a crash on the freeway transition from the Glenn Anderson (105) Freeway to the San Gabriel River (605) Freeway, California Highway Patrol officials confirmed. The collision involved two vehicles and occurred in Norwalk.

A witness told officers that a yellow truck and a black SUV collided, and the yellow truck may have left the roadway after the impact.

CHP and other emergency responders arrived at the scene, where they found the two vehicles involved. A man was pronounced dead at the scene. The Los Angeles County Office of Medical Examiner later identified the victim as Juan Frausto, 53.
