Pedestrian Killed on 5 Freeway in Santa Fe Springs
SANTA FE SPRINGS, CA (Dec. 7, 2025) — A male pedestrian was struck and killed on the southbound Santa Ana Freeway Sunday evening, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The collision was reported around 7:12 p.m. on the 5 Freeway just south of Valley View Avenue. According to CHP, the pedestrian was lying in the roadway when he was run over by a vehicle that did not stop. Authorities shut down the HOV, No. 1, and No. 2 lanes, and CHP requested a closure from Caltrans while they responded and investigated.
